Not Your Momma's SEO!

Let's face it.  Anybody can perform basic search engine optimization of a website.  Add a few keywords, build a site map, enter a description into the meta data and, voila', now you're on the top of all the Google, Yahoo! and Bing listings, right?  WRONG!  Sadly, though, that's what most web design companies are still doing today.  Of course, they're quick to offer the tried and true "paid" methods of getting your site out there, but that's not SEO, that's SEM or search engine marketing (think Google Adwords).  While it has it's place, there are a lot of methods for getting your website to rank higher in search engine results without having to ever pay one extra dime.  Can anybody do this?  Yes!  Does everybody know how?  No!

Enter eTECHS.  We perform all the traditional steps of SEO for every website we build.  Then, we take it a step farther.  Think of it as SEO on steroids!  We incorporate every method we know for getting your site to rank consistently higher in the search engines and we review our work and constantly "tweak" it on a weekly basis to aim for that coveted "top free spot" on the search engines.  Speaking of that top spot, let's get a few things straight.  First, if someone guarantees they can get you the top spot on every search result every time without running a pay-per-click or pay-per-impression advertising campaign, be wary; be very wary!  Pick any search engine and perform a search for anything you like and see what pops up at the top: paid ads!  In fact, depending on the search engine you're using and the keywords you use for your search, the top 3 to 5 positions will likely be paid ads!  This means that the top FREE listing might not even appear without your having to scroll down the page!  Second, that top free listing is a very fluid and moving target.  Think about it.  There are hundreds, if not thousands, of SEO companies and web development companies around the world all trying to get the same spot for the same search terms for their own clients, and the requirements to get there change daily!  We're realistic.  Our goal is to get you to the top spot or near the top spot for the targeted area that your clients are likely to be searching for you in.  For example, if you're a plumbing company based in Terrell, TX, and you do most of your work in and around Terrell and perhaps a little west into the Metroplex, we're not going to worry about trying to get you near the top of the results for "plumber" or for "plumber in Texas."  Instead, we're going to focus on getting you to the top of "plumbers in Terrell" or "plumbing company in Terrell," and then we're going to repeat our efforts for all the towns and geographic locations in which you work.  Likewise, if you're a retail establishment, we're going to focus on where your customers are and not on results on something so broad as the myriad of products you might sell.  Get the picture?
